OverviewAs our NICU Nurse at CHI Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital, you’ll monitor the complex medical needs of sick and preterm infants. You’ll provide compassionate care, serving as their advocate; supporting their best interests when they cannot.To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You’ll clinically care for your patients, remaining focused and attentive, as you continuously monitor them throughout your shift. You’re handling the situation.About Us:Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.The Maternity Center at CHI Health Good Samaritan has 19 L&D private patient rooms. We are a Level II NICU and we provide care for patients from antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum, including mother-baby care in our Maternity Center.Responsibilities

Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs.

Educate parents on various interventions or procedures, medications (name and purpose), exams, etc.

Assess newborns and provide care.

Communicate with the care management team.

Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.

QualificationsWe are offering a $15,000 Sign on Bonus till March 31st!

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

One year of RN experience preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Specialty certification NRP required within 5 months of hire.

Additional certification or licensure may be required upon hire.
