Production Planning Supervisor

We have an exciting new position for a Production Planning Supervisor. This role leads the Production Planning team and is responsible for estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and customer inventories to ensure customer orders are produced efficiently, on time, and to specification. THE ROLEProduction Planning: Provide leadership and direction for the Production Planning team, including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, inventory management, and job creation, while ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy. Conduct regular coaching, Quarterly Conversations, and annual performance reviews. Oversee estimating and production scheduling to meet customer due dates and maximize press efficiency. Oversee creation of layouts and production plans that help presses run in the most efficient way possible.Purchasing, Inventory & Supplier Management: Supervise purchasing paper, film, inks, tooling, and other production materials. Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels while forecasting material needs to meet production goals. Track supplier performance, providing timely feedback and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.Cross-Functional Operations: Coordinate priorities with Customer Service, Prepress, Production, and Shipping. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce downtime, and control costs.
