Safety Coordinator

Job Title: Safety CoordinatorJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team on a large-scale airport project with a concrete subcontractor. You will be required to be onsite and work under the guidance of a project manager.Responsibilities

Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site.

Collaborate with the project manager to implement safety measures and improve safety standards.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.

Provide safety training and guidance to construction workers and subcontractors.

Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.

Ensure all safety equipment is available and in good condition.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction, particularly with concrete and foundation construction.

Proficiency in construction management and working with general contractors.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and rebar plans.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Commercial construction experience in concrete is required.

Proven track record of successfully managing safety on large construction projects.

Work EnvironmentYou will be working onsite on a large billion-dollar construction project with a high regard for safety. The work environment includes trailers onsite, and there is no office. The company's office is located in Gretna. You will have direct contact with the owner, who is very direct but empowers employees to excel. The management team is highly experienced, providing top-tier training and opportunities for advancement. The company is aggressive in securing large projects in Omaha and advocates for the needs of their team.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
