Perform research on generating fundamental product balances for the US and globally; conduct market analysis to identify shortages and logistical constraints

Analyze risk and execute trades under supervision of senior trader

Engage and provide market intelligence, information and updates for both internal and external risk management activities

Build tools to analyze and capture hedging opportunities based on performance objectives and supply/demand models

Collaborate with other analysts and work as a team

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an area of specialty (quantitative subject, e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or physical science) required

Minimum five years’ experience in the field and/or part of a front desk analytics team required

Minimum three years’ experience in commodity or derivatives industries required

Specialized Knowledge

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; advanced skills preferred

Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of energy trading and research required

Knowledge of energy trading markets for gasoline, diesel and bio diesel for financial and physical contracts required
