Sr. Network Engineer - REMOTE

Description:A TEKsystems customer is looking to bring in a Sr. Network Engineer on the operations team and will be escalating priorities within the team, cross-training with the team, communicating with some executive leadership and management, monitoring systems, and doing basic troubleshooting. This person will not be responsible for any network design but would partake in those conversations. The Sr. Network Engineer performs advanced configuration and implementation of core network infrastructure systems that affect the entire organizationDevelops and implements advanced network monitoring, management and troubleshooting systems and tools

Performs rapid troubleshooting and resolution of system wide issues

Leverages advanced skills to assist and mentor other team members and in support of departmental goals

Skills & QualificationsCisco Certifications Preferred, but not Required

Cisco Router/Switch Experience

Cisco CUCM and Expressways

Cisco MDS Fabric Switches

Cisco NX-OS

Cisco IOS

NextGen, ASA, or Meraki Firewalls

ACI Experience or related SDN
