As a steel lab technician, you will work closely with clients and other members of the Olsson team in conducting laboratory testing related to material mechanical properties. You will be responsible for basic Destructive Steel Lab tasks. Responsible for setting up, conducting, and evaluating a variety of materials and welded coupons tests include, CVN Impact and Tensile strength, bend and other mechanical testing. As at technician your duties will include but not limited to:Test plate, sheet, angle iron, I-beam, and tube productsTest weld coupons for weld quality and strengthPerform calibrations, maintenance and checks of equipmentData entry, analysis, and quality control of resultsSpecimen preparation and management
