Underwriting Associate

Description:Will be a hybrid role (Tuesday and Wednesday in office) and an Associates or Bachelors Degree is required.Daily Duties:Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of businessPerform independent verification of insured's operationsReview and process change requests on in-force policiesEvaluate in-force policies at renewalParticipate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives and processesParticipate in Training of Underwriter Analyst Trainees as neededAssist with special projects as assignedLooking for candidates with strong investigative skills, the ability to utilize the internet as a research tool, excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast paced team environment, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, and adaptability in a constantly changing environment, including changes to technology, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory conditionsIf candidates have prior underwriting experience and need a higher salary - they must have insurance experience vs. mortgage experience.Skills:commercial property, casualty, Finance, Underwriting, ClericalTop Skills Details:commercial property, casualtyAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree required - prefer business related fieldsBusiness experience or degreeConfirmed collegiate GPA of 2.75 or higherAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
