POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

SQL triggers, forms, stored procedures, TSQL
5-10 years’ experience in business analysis and/or programming computer software applications.
Will work in ERP software applications: implementation, maintenance, support.
PC proficiency with excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
Excellent working knowledge of personal computers, database concepts, and networks.
Great attitude: eager to learn, patient, wants to learn and help (academic culture)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a net new position due to growth. This position is responsible for providing application maintenance and support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position will have detailed knowledge of all aspects of the ERP system and its database schema. This individual will be responsible for identifying known errors and problem trends and potential solutions and workarounds. The role frequently helps with training new staff and providing expert advice and support to business units across the organization. This role defines application support standards and processes and writes related documentation. It can also be expected that a person in this position has a good understanding of how these areas generally operate: procurement, distribution, accounting, manufacturing, production planning, inventory control, and customer service.

Install, configure, and modify parameters of the third-party application software.

Create and modify forms (add a field in the database and in the form), stored procedures, database structures, jobs, scripts, reports, vendor supplied utilities, etc., to provide solutions to business user needs with application software from third party providers, as well as, internally developed software. The database resides on 200-300 customizations
Comply with relevant standards and regulations including documentation of requirements, technical documentation, testing, and all required documents to comply with procedures for verified and validated applications.
Assist with the creation and validation of the back-up, recovery, and disaster recovery parameters of application software from third party providers, and assist in the business continuity plan execution.
Document developed code and systems or changes made to software applications from third party providers.
Assist in support and troubleshooting of problems or incidents.
Train and mentor other ERP Software Engineers as required.
Manage the support and maintenance of EDI setup, including new partners, data mapping changes, troubleshooting, and working with EDI vendors to resolve issues and improve processes.

Work with third party vendors to develop creative solutions to ongoing issues, including but not limited to: EDI, credit card processing, instrument maintenance and support, quality systems, freight carriers, etc.
Provide expert advice and opinion on the management of source control for changes related to ERP software.
Provide expert advice and opinion on the management of validations of ERP software, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Assist with determination of ERP software upgrade decisions and management of upgrades.

Business Analysis Duties

Analyze and document user requirements.
Define scope, assumptions, constraints, risks, and objectives with the business.
Identify and assist in the resolution of issues, problems, or disruptions.
Document current or potential impacts to processes, business operations, and the organization.
May take direction and guidance from other Software Engineers, Software Assurance Engineers, DBAs or IT management.
Provide direct assistance to users in use and interpretation of the ERP software application.
Handle phone and email support as directed. Each incident will be documented in the support ticket application.
Research ERP software application capabilities and provide suggestions and ideas to the business to improve processes, workflow, accuracy, and efficiency to resolve errors or problems.
Provide expert advice and support to the business units across the organization and new staff within the area.

Attend seminars, conferences (San Antonio TX in 2023), and user groups to learn about upcoming features and develop working relationships with vendors and other users of the ERP software.
