Description Robert Half is offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the non-profit industry for a detail-oriented Accountant located in Reno, Nevada. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting functions such as reconciliations, audit preparation, and inventory management. This position is a temporary assignment covering for during a leave of absenceResponsibilities: Conducting regular account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Preparing for audits by reviewing and analyzing account details Overseeing inventory management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal control procedures Utilizing accounting software systems to streamline and automate the financial functions of the organization Managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness Conducting regular audits to verify financial information and compliance with statutory requirements Performing balance sheet account reconciliation to ensure all items are accounted for and accurately posted Processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiriesIf interested, please apply today and for immediate consideration call Keisha Lawrence at 775-313-0454Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role within the non-profit sector Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Demonstrable knowledge in handling Accounting Functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with auditing procedures Ability to perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
