Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Small Business Controller role for a growing business located in Reno. This person will manage a staff of one and be responsible for full cycle accounting through financials in a growing company. This includes: Managing the general ledger accounts, including banking, receivables, fixed assets, payables, debt, equity and P& L accounts Some hands on work in AP or AR, and detailed review of both functions. Perform timely monthly closings including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports Coordinate with CPA and others regarding income tax, sales tax and other regulatory filings Perform special projects as assigned, including developing new financial reports and analyses Take ownership of the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting and a well run function in a growing company where at times the need to change direction quickly will be required Strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external relationships. Excellent technology skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as exposure to ERP systems.The position requires at least 5 years of full functional ownership of accounting in a small and growing business.
