Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the transport industry, based in Reno, Nevada. The chosen candidate will be primarily responsible for managing carrier accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of invoices and payments. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with internal teams.Responsibilities Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices and payments promptly Collaborate with procurement teams and carriers to streamline processes Ensure the accuracy and correctness of documents, reaching out internally or externally if discrepancies are identified Navigate and manage load software and paperwork receiving website Organize and manage data files related to customer and carrier accounts Ensure completion of all tasks and manage necessary follow-ups Handle miscellaneous administrative duties Communicate efficiently and respectfully with carriers and factoring companies to resolve issues Manage problem resolution for carriers’ accounts receivable departments Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position. Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP). Experience with check runs and coding invoices. Strong data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Prior experience in invoice processing. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
