Attention night shift caregivers

If you are a night person and a caregiver this may be the right job for you. This is a great opportunity for students as there is several hours of downtime for you to use as your study time. This will be a full-time position, the shifts are 12 hours shifts while working 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday) followed by 4 days the next week. You will be alternating the schedule with one another night person.

This position requires medical knowledge and experience working in and in the home caregiver position. There is only one client to work with in this position. This is not a group home or a companionship position. The client in question is TOTAL CARE. The man you would be taking care of is an elderly quadriplegic person. He as been a quadriplegic for 40 years and knows his care thoroughly. He lives with his wife of over 20 year in a very nice home. His wife is also extremely knowledgeable in all the care he needs. He utilizes the best equipment at his disposal to make this particular job much easier for the right caregiver.

This is a total care working environment, knowledge of all ADLs is essential. These include transferring with a Hoyer lift, aggressive range of motion nightly, turning several times during the night. Bowel care and showers are done with daily along with dressing and undressing.
