Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will take on a leadership position within the Finance Team, overseeing the effectiveness of our ERP system, and establishing improved controls and processes throughout the organization. This role will involve managing all aspects of the general accounting function to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial results for the organization.Responsibilities: Execute all accounting functions including Cash, AP, GL, BS, cash management and forecasting, monthly and yearly close, fixed asset management, and financial reporting through NetSuite reporting. Oversee the planning, organizing, and managing of general accounting activities. Lead efforts to improve processes for accounting, creating efficient operations that ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. Provide monthly reporting packages, including the preparation of balance sheet, income and cash flow statements, Fixed Asset and CAPEX reporting, and AP/AR agings. Coordinate the annual audit, including preparation of the financial statements and support schedules. Manage the company's cash and relationships with commercial bankers in the capacity of a treasurer. Ensure timely and accurate payment of all local and federal taxes and sales tax processes. Build an effective, deeply motivated and collaborative accounting team, focusing on the development and personal growth of team members. Act as the catalyst for process improvements in the Finance and Accounting processes of the organization.If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Kathy Beavers at Robert Half, see contact information on LinkedIn.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Controllership and Monthly Close Processes is required Experience with Inventory Controls and NetSuite is necessary Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP Accounting and Royalty Statements is essential Familiarity with Royalties, Cash Management, and Budgeting - Forecasting is needed Experience in managing Fixed Assets is a plus Must be proficient in Financial Statement Preparation and CapEx Knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Lease Accounting is mandatory Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills are necessary Must possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field A professional certification such as CPA or CMA is desirable Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are required Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies is mandatory Must have strong interpersonal and team management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently Must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
