The Buffet Culinary Trainee supports the preparation and execution of high-quality menu items within The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas. Working alongside experienced culinary professionals, the Buffet Culinary Trainee assists with food preparation, station operations, product quality, and service execution across multiple kitchen stations while contributing to a luxury dining experience that reflects Wynn Las Vegas' service and culinary standards. Key Responsibilities  Food Preparation & ExecutionAssist chefs and cooks in the preparation and production of menu items according to established recipes and specificationsPrepare ingredients, perform basic cooking techniques, and support daily production needsAssist with mise en place, station setup, and service preparationSupport buffet replenishment and production needs during service periods  Product Quality & StandardsMaintain consistency in food quality, appearance, and presentationFollow established recipes and portion control standardsUphold Wynn's luxury culinary and presentation standards  Station Support & OrganizationMaintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstationsAssist with opening, side work, and closing dutiesProperly store, label, date, and rotate products following established proceduresSupport multiple kitchen stations based on operational needs  Food Safety & SanitationFollow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling proceduresMaintain proper food storage, labeling, temperature control, and product rotationEnsure cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas and equipment  Team CollaborationWork collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and culinary team membersCommunicate effectively to support efficient kitchen operationsAssist other kitchen areas and stations as assigned  Operational ResponsibilitiesFollow production schedules and assigned preparation listsAssist with inventory organization and stock rotation using First In, First Out (FIFO) proceduresMaintain proper use and care of kitchen tools and equipment  Compliance & Brand StandardsAdhere to Wynn grooming, uniform, and professional appearance standardsFollow all company policies and culinary operating proceduresRepresent Wynn’s service culture in all aspects of the role
