Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, oversee software releases, and ensure data engineering products' efficient and successful deployment.Responsibilities:

Lead the coordination and execution of releases, minimizing disruptions to Azure-based production environments. Plan and schedule software releases in collaboration with development teams, considering dependencies, timelines, and business priorities, focusing primarily on Microsoft Azure data factories, SQL Server, and big data technologies like Data Fabric, Data Bricks, or Snowflake.

Design and maintain Azure-based deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions leveraging Azure expertise. Maintain comprehensive release documentation tailored to Azure deployments, including release notes, deployment procedures, and post-release reports. Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements within the release management process, focusing primarily on Azure environments.

Utilize in-depth knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, GitHub, and other relevant tools to manage releases effectively, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Ability to analyze, identify, and fix release issues with the pipeline.

Collaborate with QA teams to develop and implement release testing strategies to ensure the highest levels of software quality.

Implement monitoring and alerting systems-specific Azure environments to detect and address post-release issues promptly.

Manage version control systems and ensure accurate versioning of code and artifacts across Azure platforms.

Facilitate rollback procedures when necessary (e.g., deployment failure – revert system back to previous version)

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Release Specialist with a strong background in Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, GitHub, Visual Studio, and DevOps.

Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Experience in data engineering with knowledge of Python and SQL is a plus.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

For positions that are permitted or required to work remotely, employees may conduct work only within the United States and only in states where the Company is already conducting business, unless for brief periods, consistent with Company policy.

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $99,760 to $124,700. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Position is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
