The

Data Privacy Analyst I is responsible for processing data subject access requests (DSAR), completing privacy impact assessments (PIA), tracking adherence to data minimization and retention, assisting in general IT Risk Management activities including conducting risk assessments and identifying and facilitating the mitigation of risks.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and facilitate the mitigation of risks. Complete risk assessments with system owners, create risks and controls, create tickets to track controls completion, progress risks and controls through workflow, validate evidence of risk and controls completion, conduct risk re-assessments.
  • Validation of consumer data subject access requests (DSAR) to ensure resolution of DSAR's are completed in a timely fashion and comply with company policy. Document DSAR resolution.
  • Create and perform data privacy impact assessments for processing activities that handle personal data.
  • Monitor and track adherence to company data retention requirements, this includes validating that personal data is being removed or anonymized in accordance with policy.
  • Document data privacy processes and train other departments on the processes to promote a privacy aware culture.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Data Privacy.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in IT Risk Management and/or Compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
  • Must be able to implement process improvement changes.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to adapt and be flex to a changing environment.
  • Must be able to lift:
    • 50 pounds to waist height
    • 50 pounds to shoulder height
    • 20 pounds above the head

For positions that are permitted or required to work remotely, employees may conduct work only within the United States and only in states where the Company is already conducting business, unless for brief periods, consistent with Company policy.

In the states of Colorado, California and Washington, the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $76,725 to $109,725. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

  • Position is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts and/or health savings accounts; dependent savings accounts; 401(k) with company matching contributions; employee stock purchase plan; and, a tuition reimbursement program. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
