Description A client of ours in the Verdi, Nevada area is looking to bring on an onsite Tier II IT Support Technician that supports the firm’s brand-new distribution center. The firm is a major national manufacturing company with onsite coworkers that need access to an eager, communicative, and talented technician that can support tier I and II troubleshooting efforts, allowing for the center to move forward as efficiently as possible. The IT Support Technician will own technical support efforts and 75% of those efforts will focus on mobile and handheld device support. The position will begin as a 6-month contract opportunity with a possibility to extend or lead to a permanent hire. The position will begin on a part-time, 20 – 25 hour/week basis with potential to ramp to full-time hours, contingent upon workload.Additional Main Requirements
Own troubleshooting efforts for handheld devices (e.g., scanners, phones, POS devices)
Experience with ITSM is highly desirable
Experience with RFID scanners is desirable
Support troubleshooting efforts on label printers
Be able to handle 2-3 ticket escalations a day
Step in as the point IT person for an entire distribution center
Previous logistics or manufacturing experience is a plus
Familiarity with SAP/Oracle and related configuration logic is a bonus
Requirements
Strong technical skills in desktop support and local infrastructure management. (At least 5 years of IT Support experience)
Experience with warehouse and distribution center technology, including label printers, RF scanner guns, Honeywell handheld scanners, and mobile device management.
Ability to work onsite at the Verdi, NV location during the specified part-time schedule.
