Driving Instructors Needed

Job Overview: Better Way Driving is seeking dedicated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as driving instructors for our driver's education program. As a driving instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact by teaching safe driving practices to students of all ages. Responsibilities:

-Conduct driving lessons following state driving regulations and curriculum standards.

-Provide thorough instruction on vehicle operation, defensive driving techniques, and traffic laws.

-Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to build students' confidence and skills.

-Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

-Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and skill levels.

-Maintain accurate records of student progress, lesson plans, and schedules.

-Ensure the safety of students and vehicles during driving lessons.

-Communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians regarding lesson schedules, progress, and concerns.

-Stay informed about changes in driving laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements:

-Must be 25 years or older with a clean driving record.

-Valid driver's license and willingness to become a licensed DMV Instructor (all certifications paid for by Better Way)

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

-Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring preferred.

-High school diploma or equivalent required.

Benefits:

Starting pay: $23-$29 per hour.

Training materials provided and paid for by Better Way Driving.

Full-time or part-time hours available.

Flexible scheduling, including the option to create your own schedule seven days a week.

Company car provided with gas and car expenses covered (car can be used for personal use under certain terms).

Location: Instructors needed in South Lake Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe areas, including Truckee.
