- The primary responsibility of the Sr Accountant is to assist the Corporate Accounting team with all financial
- reporting, accounting and finance/accounting related special projects and assist in the management of the global
- consolidation process.
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices,
- and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a
- professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work
- requirements and rules of conduct.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise application of the general ledger across the Company’s operating units
- Manage process of identifying issues and deviations and implementation of appropriate solutions.
- Assist with the monthly corporate consolidation and financial reporting process
- Assist with all functions of LVSC’s external financial reporting process (SEC filings, XBRL, press releases,
- statutory financial statements, Audit Committee materials, etc
- Provide accurate, timely and usable reports to Corporate Accounting department and other departments
- Review and prepare account reconciliations of general ledger balances
- Communicate with our global counterparts and other departments in our organization on various tasks and
- deliverables
- Review the work of the staff accountant(s)
- Take an active role in the development and growth of the staff accountant(s) and cross-train any new Team
- Members of Corporate Accounting
- Assist with global and domestic finance/accounting related projects
- Assist with technical accounting research to support accounting positions
- Ensure that all aspects of financial practice across the Company’s operating units are consistent and in
- compliance with established corporate policies and procedures
- Support departmental and company decisions, even if unpopular
- Is continuously aware of current and forecast financial/business performance and is actively involved in
- analyzing and implementing required changes
- Provide input into and executes strategic plan for Corporate Accounting consistent with the strategic vision of
- LVSC
- Perform job duties in a safe manner.
- Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or
- license, as required by law or policy
- 3-5 years experience in accounting or finance role required; public accounting experience preferred
- Must have experience with accounting systems and financial statement closings and analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
