Responsibility: Design, install, and maintain irrigation systems. Inspect, audit, adjust and repair irrigation systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water. Work is performed in residential and commercial environments. Communicate between office and field. Manage field hours and oversee time records. Manage and correct quality control issues with irrigation equipment. This position is considered a Foreman position, with ability to move forward into other positions within the business.
Specialized knowledge/experience:
Must have experience with irrigation systems
Must be able to research and stay up to date with current advances in irrigation technology
Must have clear understanding of job site safety
Must have knowledge of landscape construction materials and products
Must have knowledge of job preparation procedures
Must have experience with landscape construction equipment and machines
Must be able to deal effectively and communicate well with customers
Must be able to lead/direct, deal effectively and communicate well with employees
Liaison of company information to maintenance employees
Duties:
Meet with the customer at beginning of each job to go over scope of work and answer any questions they may have
Proactively maintain contact with customer to provide service, prevent problems, and answer questions
Make sure all call backs and email responses are done in a timely and accurate fashion
Communicate daily with department heads and office staff
Daily jobsite visits and oversight as needed
Monitor irrigation systems for quality
Assist crews to resolve any problems that may arise
Follow up on loose ends (quality control or unfinished work) to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner – incorporate into schedule if needed
Keep accurate records of all jobs, and work with office staff to provide information for final job cost; review job costs sheet to determine areas where profitability can be improved
Keep record of all materials used on the job
Oversee all irrigation equipment - ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory record keeping
Organize with the crew leaders what materials are needed for each project
Order necessary materials for jobs as needed
Perform other duties as requested

This is a seasonal, but full-time position, from April to November. This position earns a compensation of $25.00+ per hour, based on experience, with potential to advance into a more profitable position in the future, i.e. management.
