Salary:Competitive, based on experience

Schedule:Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays (as needed). Tuesday through Saturday from

11AM – Close (Approximately 8PM)

The Sicilian Pizzeria & Ristorante is a local Las Vegas Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant seeking to

hire a Kitchen Manager/Cook. Looking for aKitchen Manager/Cookto oversee back-of-house

operations and ensure the highest standards in food preparation and kitchen management.

Job Description:

The Kitchen Manager/Cook is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, including food

preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, cleaning,

managing inventory and ensuring timely service. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a working

manager who leads by example.

You will work closely with Ownership to maintain smooth kitchen operations, ensure

consistency and quality of all food items, and uphold a positive, team-oriented work

environment.

You will be expected to assist in communication with the front of the house as well

to provide great food and service to our guests. You will be expected to handle problems that

arise in the kitchen as well as ensuring that modifications and other changes to dishes are

handled properly.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 Prepare and cook menu items to standard recipes and specifications using materials

provided by management

 Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff during food preparation and service

according to management standards

 Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage,

labeling and rotation, cleanliness of equipment, and general cleanliness

 Train and mentor kitchen staff including cooks and dishwashers, ensuring compliance

with all food safety procedures

 Monitor food quality and presentation at all times

 Manage kitchen inventory using provided lists and par numbers

 Control food costs and minimize waste

 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times

 Handle kitchen-related issues in a timely and professional manner

 Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and special promotions as needed

Qualifications:

 Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including leadership or

supervisory experience

 Strong cooking skills with the ability to execute high-quality dishes under pressure

 Proven experience managing a kitchen team

 Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (Certified Food Safety Manager Card

is a requirement)

 Strong organizational and time management skills

 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

 Must be reliable, punctual, and professional

 Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

 Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
