Position Summary
  • The Test Automation Lead is a full-time resource on the Quality Assurance (QA) team focused on test automation. This position emphasizes a developer skillset, automating tests and limited manual execution in order to create the test automation framework and automated test strategy for a given software release.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and maintain test plans; develop manual and automated test cases and associated for application projects
  • Perform assigned testing as per the Test Plan or feature request document and report all discovered problems
  • Create and execute smoke / regression tests for applications
  • Maintain records of all application testing; prepare and review reports summarizing testing results
  • Collaborate with developers and users to optimize testing, defect root cause, and defect tracking
  • Formulate an effective test strategy based on technical specification documents and business requirement

Requirements · Bachelor's degree, preferably computer related· 5+ years’ experience in an agile development setting· 5-7 years’ experience as a developer or Test Automation Engineer with emphasis on writing test plans, manual and automated testing experience required· 5-7 years’ hands on experience with automation suites including, Selenium, Appium, JMeter, NUnit, Gherkin syntax or similar BDD frameworks, UFT, Test Studio· 5+ years of experience with web-enabling technologies, including web enterprise servers, web programming languages, SQL databases and exposure to client/server development required.· 3-5 years’ experience with programming languages such as C#, Java· 3-5 years’ experience with scripting languages such as shell or python· 5+ years’ experience developing Automation metrics to demonstrate automation effectiveness· Understanding and experience with DevOps and CI/CD approaches to software delivery· Experience with end-to-end software system testing required· Availability to work various shifts, extended hours and to provide on-call support as required

Preferred:· 7 years Testing Automation of experience preferred· Strong knowledge of automated test tools for a variety of implementations· Experience developing test automation across the entire SDLC· Experience in agile development and automation within the sprint· Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education· Bachelor's degree, preferably computer related, or Technical certifications in related technologies, or equivalent work experience.
