The Special Operations Shift Manager is responsible for standing the shift and concurrently managing the administrative and operational requirements of the shift – in order for the Special Operations element to effectively deter, detect, and when necessary, respond to terrorist/lethal acts as well as other active security/safety events such as fires, riots, demonstrations, and evacuations.  Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts and assignments. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents in concert security and hotel management and compile data for accurate reporting.Job Responsibilities:The following is not intended to be all-inclusive nor restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.At the direction and supervision of Assistant Director of Special Operations, assist in the management, supervision, coordination, and operation of Special Operations Guards (SOGs) on assigned shift.Responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training SOGs; planning, assigning and directing work efforts; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining SOGs; tracking attendance and relaying commendations and preparing shift schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Accountable for investigating, analyzing, resolving guest/employee incidents for security purposes and responding to litigation interrogatories related to incidents occurring on property.Conduct daily site inspections of SOGs, SOG posts, produces End-Of-Shift report, and reviews incident reports.Responsible for the accurate inventory, tracking, ordering, and notification of shortfalls for all SOG gear, equipment, and controlled equipage.Interacts with local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities as required.Maintain a professional shift in accordance with Wynn professional standards.Will be assigned projects as requested by the Assistant Directors of Special Operations.
