CRI Advantage is looking for a Network Engineer with Five plus years of progressively responsible professional IT experience in network management. Other relevant duties of the position may include systems and server administration. Familiarity with database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security is a plus. The role is based in Carson City and can be partially remote.

REQUIRED:Good communication skills and project management experience are required.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience is required.

PREFERRED:Prefer specialized training and certification from one nationally recognized/accredited organization (e.g., MCSE, MCA, CCIE, CCSP, ITIL, and PMP).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical expertise and perform duties on a broad scope of highly critical information systems and services that impact the operations of the judicial branch.
  • Provide high level technical consultation with management, stakeholders, and other IT professionals; ensure implementation and execution of information systems and services meet enterprise-level requirements; analyze business, user, and system requirements necessary to design, develop, and implement the infrastructure and software components of Court supported information networks and systems; research, compile, and analyze requirements provided by management, end-users, and business analysts; prepare and present reports summarizing conclusions; make recommendations regarding implementation of infrastructure, software, and IT services; assist in the development of written strategic plans to meet business needs with technological solutions.
  • Anticipate and plan for future information system technologies; develop information technology solutions by designing the infrastructure, systems, software, and/or services necessary to meet identified business, user, and system requirements; use established techniques and methodologies to develop infrastructure, systems, and applications; establish quality assurance and testing programs to ensure developed products meet defined requirement.
  • Recommend and implement major system changes and enhancements; plan, organize, and coordinate the implementation of new hardware, software, systems, and services for systems critical to operations; establish technical documentation to support operations for system and network administrators, computer operators, and IT technicians.
  • Analyze and coordinate resolution to complex technical challenges; conduct routine emergency maintenance on information systems and applications; develop schedules and procedures to ensure critical updates are applied and service and maintenance agreements remain active; receive referrals for technical assistance to the service desk for complex technical problems; develop and execute plans to monitor critical systems and services; establish performance metrics for key services and provide regular reports.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans; establish controls to ensure disaster recovery processes are operational; validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans by conducting tests on systems.
  • Review, revise, and recommend IT policies, procedures, processes, and workflows to define, control, and improve the effectiveness of IT operations.
  • Assist with the review and development of legal contracts, interlocal agreements, service level agreements, and software agreements related to information technology.
  • Manage major technology projects as a project manager and participate in other projects as a project team member; provide regular status reports on project performance.
  • Complete Special Project Work as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
