Description:Planning Technician II Assist with construction document submission review.Perform on-site inspections and write-ups.This team works closely with the District Facilities Division Construction Management department with a focus to ensure that Technology requirements for the District’s school and department construction activities are properly specified and built. This includes specification development, plans review, and on-site inspections throughout the construction cycle.Network Planning work involves frequent visits to in-progress construction sites. All personnel are to provide all necessary personal protective equipment which may include hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and reflective vests.At a minimum, our planning staff will: Execute mature standardized engineering, inspection and documentation processes and procedures. Focus on minimizing and/or eliminating construction change orders for District cost savings. Work closely with the Facilities Division Construction Management Department and PMs. Design low voltage infrastructure for schools and special buildings. Provide low-voltage network architectures and standards consultancy for the District. Advise NS on the latest standards and updates that impact District school construction. Work with architects and engineers to ensure networks are designed to standards. Conduct frequent in-progress inspections of construction to ensure specification compliance. Coordinate closely with NS Engineering, Integrations Team, and NOC to ensure new and rehabilitated school networks are implemented and operational by school opening dates.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must be a team player, have good communication skillsConditions of EmploymentA valid Nevada Driver's LicenseUse of an automobileMust pass a background check Must pass Drug TestDaily working hours are flexible due to school and administrative office hours, and the willingness to help where needed.About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
