Job Summary:

SCJ TRANSPORTS, LLC is seeking dedicated and experienced Owner Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in freight transport, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. As an Owner Operator, you will use your own truck to transport freight safely and efficiently while collaborating with our logistics team.

Key Responsibilities:

Freight Transportation: Safely transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scheduled routes.

Truck Maintenance: Maintain your truck in good working condition, conducting regular inspections and necessary repairs to ensure safety and compliance.

Documentation: Complete and ensure accuracy in all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, bills of lading, and inspection reports.

Customer Service: Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns or inquiries.

Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and safety standards, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with SCJ TRANSPORTS logistics coordinators to optimize routes and schedules for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience as an Owner Operator in freight transportation.

Truck Ownership: Must have a reliable truck that meets legal requirements for freight transport.

Insurance: Mandatory bobtail insurance and cargo insurance to protect yourself and the company during operation.

Driving License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.

- A positive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on a percentage of the revenue generated from the freight transported, with opportunities for performance bonuses.
