The Bechtel renewables team will perform project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup for utility-scale photovoltaic generating plants throughout various locations in the US. The work location for this project is Mesquite, NV.Job Summary:In this role, the Project Site Superintendent will lead a team and supervise superintendents and craft professionals and is responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of all construction work performed by Bechtel direct hire craft and subcontractors in accordance with design drawing and details as assigned by the Site Manager. The Project Site Superintendent may fill in for the Site Manager (SM) in their absence or as directed. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.Major Responsibilities:Leadership / Supervision

Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.

Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.

Interface with Industrial Relations for craft recruitment to support direct hire execution as required.

Liaise with Core Renewables Team to provide project updates related to scheduling and coordination of work.

Planning / Productivity

Determines workforce requirements.

Coordinates established area operational plans.

Monitors and reviews subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements

Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.

Coordinates and directs multi-discipline craft activities on the project as instructed by construction management.

Optimize the use of construction equipment and tools on the project - supervise layout, construction, and maintenance of temporary facilities with the Site Manager (SM).

Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.

Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.

Tools, Materials & Equipment

Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.

Manages the preparation and oversight of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.

Technical

Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents

Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.

Safety & Quality

Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.

Provide safety leadership to the project including participation in the safety orientation of new employees.

Inspect the site for unsafe conditions and practice and take appropriate corrective action to correct all observed problems.

Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.

Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.

Education and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:

Preferred candidate will have renewable (preferably Solar) EPC experience.

Preferred minimum of 2 years prior Field Non-Manual Supervision on EPC projects.

Must have the right to work and remain the in the Unites States.
