RCDD EngineerResponsibilities

Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and schedule necessary to

successfully complete a project.

Assist to complete estimates for a selected project with a detailed review of plans,

specifications and necessary forms.

Develop scope of work and project specifications.
Work with architects to develop communications drawings in the proper construction

phases.

Provide guidance to NDE / P&C on updated standards and codes to ensure contractors

compliance.

Demonstrate knowledge of BICSI, ANST-TIA/EIA, and NEC.
Plan, organize, and execute projects under the directions of P&C and NDE project

managers.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within

boundaries of NDE policies and standards.

Review and assist in the preparation of network change orders of the project. Assist in

the negotiation of network-related change orders.

Monitor network infrastructure-related construction activities in conjunction with the

onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is being built onschedule, and within budget.

Perform inspection of contractors’ work and prepare inspection reports.
Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within

company guidelines, and under supervision.

Work with contractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with the project scope

and specifications

Work with contractors to mitigate and if necessary correct project issues
Review any documentation prepared by NDE project managers before submission.
Review project deliverables such as CAD as builts, test results, etc.
Represent company in project meetings.
Assist Network Development and Engineering team in maintaining structured cable plant

and underground fiber infrastructure

Document and update structured cable plant and underground fiber infrastructure plans

and drawings.Qualifications

Expert-level experience with structured cable systems, including indoor and outdoor
Experience with monitoring contractors for performance
Developing/writing bid documents
Expert-level knowledge of copper and fiber optic cable termination & testing
Experience with Division 27 specifications
RCDD Certification
