Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Return to Work Specialist. In this role, you will be instrumental in aiding injured employees to return to work safely and timely, while ensuring that the company meets its return-to-work obligations. Responsibilities:

Timely and accurate response to workers’ compensation Medical Only claims

Prepare a recovery and return to work plan for the employee based on customer scope of work

Consult with the employee, their supervisor, and others, informing them of roles and responsibilities

Create and send both verbal and written offers of modified duty to injured workers

Partner with WC Manager on claim milestones and return to work activity

Direct communication with injured workers, supervisor/managers, Claim Professionals, physicians, and Nurse Case Managers related to all return-to-work activities

Monitor the employee's recovery progress via Diary

Ensure that the return to work is safe and medically suitable

Advise managers and supervisors on matters relating to WC identifying accommodations

Keep confidential case notes and records in Salesforce and update on a regular basis

Keep injury and recovery at work statistics via Salesforce

Complete Wage Statements and other regulatory return to work documents

Handle intake of all Self-Care Triage claims

Create and ensure the posting of WC Panels

Handle information and reports while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports.

Respond to worker’s compensation questions from company leadership, former employees, insurance carrier, claims administration vendors, representatives, and government agencies in a timely manner.

Properly document and maintain worker’s compensation claims activities, documents, interactions, and related materials in designated applications.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role as a Workers Compensation Specialist in the cleaning industry

Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

Familiarity with Ceridian and Cisco Webex Meetings

Proficient in CRM systems

Experience in auditing, benefit functions, claim administration, and COBRA administration

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
