We are seeking experienced product builders: with your talent as a Database Systems Engineer, help us reach our goals of knowing more about a property than anybody else and in the process making home ownership valuations more fair and equitable for millions of people. We are the innovation team supporting and developing the production modeling systems and massive scale simulations driving Clear Capital's novel technologies. The Database Systems Engineer role at Clear Capital will work on a team dedicated to supporting the build of products and features, participating in the process all the way from proof of concept to production release. You'll be working with a talented team of ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML Ops Engineers who, like you, value curiosity and collaboration. We are looking for a Database Systems Engineer to assist with the development and implementation of systems leveraging structured and unstructured data to deliver data and machine learning solutions at scale. As a Database Systems Engineer at Clear Capital, you are committed to enabling the best work of others on the team. You help yourself and your team to consistently "level up." You think ahead to anticipate the needs of others and provide concise information for decision-making. What you will work on- Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization
- Provide operational support
- Understand and apply advanced database administration, management and performance tuning techniques
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for applications and database systems
- Participate in design and application review sessions
- Develop scripts procedures and processes for data management and migration and application development
- Implement and manage AWS RDS and Aurora and on-prem PostgreSQL systems
- Qualified candidates should have Bachelor's degree or relevant experience with technical data collection and 2+ years of overall experience
- Experience developing with Python
- Comfortable with Linux and shell scripting
- Working experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable data systems and services, including experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience working with AI/ML
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and tools
- Experience with version control software (e.g. Git)
