Sorensen’s Cafe, nestled in the beautiful Sierras, has been serving up delicious food and creative drinks for all of Hope Valley’s travelers. General Accountabilities· Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.· Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.· Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.· Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.· Ensures smooth operation of restaurant services during absence of supervisor. Ensuring all opening and closing procedures are completed Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures Job Qualifications In-depth knowledge of wine, spirits, and different types of cuisines 5+ years of bartending Highly developed interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods Must be 21and over Must have a California food handlers card Can lift up to 25 pounds unassisted Skills Exceptional organization and time management Effective written and verbal communication skills Great active listening skills Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends Knowledge in craft cocktails · Creativity when making cocktails
