Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The role involves full-cycle accounting, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation for multiple properties within a portfolio. The Staff Accountant must have a strong GL background where they will complete month-end close, review all payables, tenant receivables, perform reconciliations, entries, and monthly financial statement preparation. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities will include: Handle full-cycle accounting for properties including making adjusting entries and understanding pre-paids Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records Prepare financial statements for properties on a monthly basis Complete month-end checklist Produce individual financials for various properties Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Process and monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments Listen and follow instructions carefully for all tasks and responsibilities.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Demonstrated experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of General Ledger maintenance. Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries. Proven ability in Month End Close procedures. ERP system experience is required, cloud-based systems are a huge plus. Proven experience in Financial Statement Preparation. Familiarity with Prepaids and their management. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
