- Client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with experience in actively resolving problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company, helping to ensure our users, stores, and environment are functioning optimally.
- Under the general supervision of the Senior System Administrator, the System Administrator is responsible for providing proactive remote and onsite technical support to users in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, virtualization, and cloud environments
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, network connectivity, and user administration tasks
- Monitoring local area network, wan, and remote environments with various tools to ensure uptime / reliability
- Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science and information systems. Expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments
- Create documentation on processes for IT staff and users
- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Efficient problem solving / troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer support skills and ability to work as a proactive team member in an office setting.
- Strong networking knowledge
- System administration and current IT certifications in Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco or Azure /AWS cloud environments or other network related fields are a plus.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with vSphere, HPE SimpliVity, MS and Oracle SQL server, Office 365, Intune MDM, Azure Hybrid AD, PRTG, SonicWALL, Cradlepoint ECM, Meraki, and Datto SIRIS a plus.
