Atrilogy's direct client is seeking a Telecom Engineer II to join their team in Las Vegas, NV on Direct Hire basis. This position is onsite in Las Vegas. Relocation packages available. Position Summary The Telecom Engineer II will support and maintain complex telecom environments; areas of focus included but are not limited to voice systems administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, creating diagrams, designing project implementation, and server creation. Ability to interface with vendors and projects managers for specific business initiatives. Support 24x7 call center and internal telecom solutions. Specific responsibilities include: Summary Essential Job Functions

  • Provide technical support on our client's telecom environment which includes Avaya CM and SM's, MUX's, Circuits, IVR, CMS, Predictive Dialer and Recording system, corporate voice and data communication hardware and software.
  • Support the installation and configuring of telecom equipment
  • Proactively investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues by working daily, weekly, monthly checklists / system health checks.
  • Evaluate and report on workload and capacity of environment.
  • Interact with all recording and voice vendors to insure adequate service, support, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure non-interruption of service. Report any performance issues or outages to management.
  • Run necessary recording, voice and data lines within corporate headquarters and the data center as needed. Move equipment as required within corporate headquarters and the data center.
  • Repair, reconfigure and test equipment as needed. Install and maintain communication devices.
  • Perform architectural reviews of new and existing Telecom products submitting technical analysis for discussion amongst the team and larger IT organization.
  • Support Adds Moves and Changes. Remove users from systems as employees leave the company.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for environment, equipment and circuit inventory.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as patching and backups for all telecom systems.
  • Maintain current environment topology.
  • Cleanup and maintenance of Telecom room, including cabling and labeling equipment.
  • On-call rotation.
Position Requirements
  • 5+ years' work experience as Telecom Engineer
  • Solid knowledge of voice or data communications technology normally attained through a minimum of six years in communications assignments, including three years in project management assignments necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager, Session Manager, and trunk creation between devices.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS.
  • Knowledge of VMware environment.
  • SBC / SIP / VOIP knowledge.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Oracle Databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong problem resolution skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to make knowledgeable decisions.
  • Strong work ethic and organized work habits.
  • Ability to interface well with internal groups and vendors.
  • IVR experience is desirable.
  • Dialer experience in a call center environment.
  • Noble Dialer experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to diagram and design telecom environments preferred.
  • Strong team contributor.
  • Understanding of wiring and integration of new equipment.

PREFERRED
  • Bachelors in an engineering discipline, or technical certification in telecommunications specifically Avaya and / or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
