Tree Climber/Installer

A Truckee-based position requires reliability, a truck, basic carpentry skills, and an understanding of computer operation.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable tree climber residing in the Truckee or Reno area to join our team to install fixed wireless equipment. This position requires flexibility and availability to work on days as needed.

Installer – Job Detail:

Install wireless equipment at customer and OBBI sites.

Provide clear and consistent updates to the Project manager on the progress of all significant activities.

Contribute to the creation of detailed installation guidelines and procedures.

Special projects as assigned.

Contribute to the planning and “staging” of a customer or Point of Presence install.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Reliable, as in showing up for work on time every day.

Reliable (yes, reliability is that important)

A truck capable of carrying a ladder

Six months - 1 year of installation experience with cable or DSL preferred basic carpentry a must.

Familiarity with Routers and Computers is preferred

Familiarity with wireless technology is a big plus

Ability to identify issues and opportunities, evaluate their severity and an appropriate course of action, and recommend the course of action to management.

Basic network, IP address, and PC skills

Customer-friendly, communicative, positive attitude.

Efficient work style.

Energy, inquisitiveness, and passion for wireless and installation.

Clear written and verbal communication and typing skills required.

Excellent organizational skills

Additional Job Requirements:

· This position is outdoors – appropriate winter vehicles and clothing are required.

· Ability to grow into a Field Supervisor desirable.

· Ability to work productively on-site with minimal direct supervision as a remote employee.

· This is an exempt position (No overtime pay) that, at times, may require more than 40 hours. Per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
