Job Description

Moen has a new opening for a Warehouse Manager to join our Distribution team in Las Vegas, NV.

Leadership

  • Recommend and initiate personnel actions, such as selections, promotions, transfers, training, terminations, counseling and disciplinary measures.
  • Conduct annual staffing reviews, succession planning and performance reviews of the operations management team.
  • Provide leadership, focus, direction, and coordination to 3 Salaried Coaches, 8 Coordinators and 100 plus Distribution Associates in a fully automated DC.
  • Develops direct reports through a collaborative performance management process; performs annual evaluations and individual development plans.
  • Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, staffing and space requirements, and equipment layout, implementing changes.

Operations

  • Refine and develop procedures to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of the Distribution Center through 5S, Kaizen, and MOS processes.
  • Responsible for planning, coordination and managing functions and personnel to ensure utilization of the WMS/EWM to maintain cost effective operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Achieves warehouse operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
  • Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; staffing levels: scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Develops warehouse operations systems by developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures, developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory mgt, and shipping.

  • Provide effective associate relations within the team by ensuring that practices are fair and consistent.
  • Engage in open honest communications to encourage associate feedback and to increase employee engagement; actively support recognition and rewards programs to enhance the employee experience.
  • Ensure appropriate communications to inform associates about important business information and engage associates in the business.

Safety and Training

  • Achieve world-class safety metrics in recordable incident rate and lost time incident rate. Provide work areas that promote positive ergonomic activity and focus on safety.
  • Ensure all rules and regulations of the facility are followed and all safety violations are reported documented; dispense appropriate disciplinary action and counseling.
  • Direct team to ensure proper and timely training of associates on company policies, safety programs, and job requirements.
  • Responsible to direct the maintenance of good housekeeping procedures, safe storage of product in all areas of the warehouse and maintenance of all material handling equipment.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) required; Prefer degree in logistics or distribution management. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience

8 years experience in logistics, operations or Distribution Management. Minimum 4 years managing and supervising front-line leaders.

Skills

  • Demonstrated success in creating and sustaining a safe workplace.
  • Prior experience with Lean/TPS/5S principles and change mgt.
  • Strong PC capabilities required to include managing and working within a Warehouse Management System (WMS). SAP/EWM knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities; ability to use key performance indicators and to hold others and self-accountable, create efficient workflow and utilize key performance indicators.
  • Previous experience in an automated distribution environment a plus.
  • Experience in warehouse slotting and layout warehouse a plus; experience with conveyor systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to function within and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations.
