What You Get To Do:As a Behavior Support Manager at Dungarvin, you’ll play a vital role in leading and modeling the delivery of person-centered services that empower individuals to thrive. The Behavior Support Manager is responsible for developing behavioral support plans for specific individuals as identified by the Area Director.  The BSM will assess an individual and develop a complete support plan, which outlines support strategies to address specific target behaviors as identified in the assessment process.  The BSM will develop monitoring and tracking methodologies and systems to be implemented by direct care staff and programs supervisors in determining the success. The BSM is responsible for supervising the team of Behavior Support Specialist. The BSM will be responsible for training the Direct Support staff, and the identified Program Director (PD) on all aspects of the Behavioral Support Plan.  The BSM will also be responsible for providing on-going consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for the purpose of updating the plan in response to the changing behavioral needs of the person served. This role will support our residential programs and day services programs throughout the states.Duties include but not limited to:Complete consultations and recommendations for behavioral interventions and development of behavioral support plans that are related to the individuals intellectual or developmental disability and are necessary for the participant to acquire or maintain appropriate adaptive behaviors, interactions with others and behavioral self-management.Develop and implement behavioral support plans utilizing established and innovative approaches including Behavioral Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, and/or Gentle Teaching that are consistent with best practice an research on effectiveness for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Provide behavioral assessment services including observations, interviews of direct support professionals, functional behavioral analysis and assessment, evaluations and completion of written assessment document. Conducts functional behavioral assessments.Provide counseling in an individual or group setting that may include cognitive behavior therapy, systematic desensitization, anger management, biofeedback, and relaxation therapy.Makes recommendations to IDT regarding level of behavioral supports needed.Creates and trains IDT members to utilize data systems for measuring person served behaviors and progress.Provide training and support for the people who implement the plan.  This includes the person served, staff, independent contractors, family members who can reasonably anticipate implementing behavioral support plans and interventions.Write and modify Behavioral Intervention Plans, Crisis Prevention Plans, and BISSPs.Provide crisis intervention support to staff and independent contractorsCreate, train, implement, and monitor ISPs and BISSPsTeach positive behavior support training and oversee the behavior committee for the state
