You will be responsible for overseeing various areas, including design, power systems, drives, control systems, and equipment selection, while also identifying opportunities for improvement. This role will challenge you to take ownership of projects, from feasibility to completion, handling both technical engineering and project management aspects. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the future direction of our Hot Mills Engineering team, being a key player in driving the development of projects that will make a real impact.What Will You Do?As an experienced engineer working within a multi-disciplinary team to support the Hot Mills department, you will:execute and oversee exciting electrical project worklead a group of engineers, driving the team to deliver exceptional resultsmanage capital project equipment upgrades, overseeing the whole project lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover of equipmentwork closely with the plant manufacturing teams to support our various assets in terms of both technical troubleshooting support and process improvement identification and implementationMore About YouYou will have a strong foundation in the electrical engineering field, with your expertise being crucial in ensuring that projects are successfully executed, you will also bring:a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringexperience managing small to medium electrical-based capital projectsexperience with automation systems including PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADAknowledge of low voltage distribution systems and motor controlsexperience with variable speed drives and closed-loop control systems technical know-how to troubleshoot and solve complex problems efficientlyWhy BlueScopeAs BlueScope continues to go from strength to strength, a career with us provides you with the opportunity to grow and be rewarded.
