Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

In this role you will proactively engage with the research community (research staff, research postgraduates, and those that support them) across the University raising awareness and use of modern research technologies and tools, including CeR services. You will enable researchers tomanage research data following institutional and national policy and best practices, including FAIR, CARE and Māori Data Sovereignty principles, through the delivery of data consultations, presentations, workshops, and online resources. You will also contribute to the organisation and delivery of digital research skills and community building offerings (e.g., Carpentries workshops, ResBaz), and the provision of CeR core services, including improvements to documentation and automation of processes.This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, passionate about interacting with researchers, who wishes to put their research/research support experience to use, working alongside researchers from a diversity of domains. You will have one or more of the following:demonstrable understanding of the research data management landscape and best practices,experience delivering researcher skills and development opportunities, including online resources,working knowledge of R or Python.You will contribute to and benefit from the team’s broad skill-base and be excited by the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and likely in a variety of different capacities.

The Centre for eResearch (CeR) is a cross-faculty platform at the University of Auckland supporting reseach capability.
