Reporting to the Head of Event Delivery US, the Event Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of regionally based live, hybrid and on-demand experiences.  Success will be aligned to the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable event experiences to agreed KPIs and achieving ongoing product improvement reflected in customer satisfaction and NPS scores.The role would be working, with the US delivery team, on 15 events per annum with an annual revenue of $17+ million, working on an aggregated cost budget of over $7.5+ million. The events range from conferences, to exhibitions, and awards. With the flagship event of over 2300+ attendees and 120+ exhibition stands to bespoke awards ceremonies for 500 people and smaller 100 in-person conferences.Responsibilities Delivery (60%)You will be required to travel to events to lead and manage the day-to-day tasks of the team, efficiently and effectively.  Personally lead & deliver an agreed number of physical & hybrid events per yearFollow the end-to-end process guidelines to ensure tasks are completed on time and to budgetTroubleshoot any problems on the day keeping stakeholders up to date throughoutContinually review processes and practice to identify obsolete workflows and tools with little customer value or ROI and feedback to the Delivery DirectorWorking in partnership with digital delivery teams, vendors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality hybrid events.Collaboration/Best Practice (10%)Regular engagement and feedback with key internal and external stakeholders to build an effective working relationshipAttend all scheduled meetings with internal stakeholders such as marketing, digital specialists, spex and the wider delivery communityFollow a customer-first approach that provides efficient, effective and value add service to our vertical and brand teamsLeadership (10%)Manage the onsite delivery where assigned being the go-to person for any problems and linking key stakeholders together for a seamless event experienceLead by example and embed Connect’s inclusive behaviors into your everyday practices to encourage an inclusive culture across the wider teamHealth & Safety, Supplier Partnerships, Legal & Sustainability (10%)Ensure all events follow the H&S Operating Model and Incident Management Frameworks are followed and adoptedChampion Connect initiatives, advancing the Faster Forward sustainability agenda (ensuring The Fundamentals are submitted in a timely manner for all events)Mitigate the risk of attrition with key categories of spend (venues, bedroom blocks)Ensure venues are procured in a timely manner and meet event and budget requirementsPlanning and Budgeting (10%)Responsible for the timely submission of event costs on the forecasting toolCode invoices and corporate expenses
