AECOM’s Technology Solutions Department within our Water Business Line is actively seeking a creative, self-motivated, highly talented GIS Specialist to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established progressive career in GIS and Information Technology.  This position will provide technical GIS support and coordination on a wide range of enterprise GIS and digital projects and programs across the region. Additionally, you will have the ability to assist in managing project tasks and project teams to support ongoing projects and quality control. The ideal candidate will need to thrive in an oftentimes fast-paced environment, have attention to detail, and possess a broad range of GIS skills and QA/QC capabilities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Utilize GIS to produce, display, and analyze spatial informationDevelop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping utilizing GIS dataCreate, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposesPerform quality assurance of GIS data and associated componentsUse concepts, practices and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clientsLead project specific tasks while working closely with project team to meet client deadlinesMaintain an effective and frequent line of communication amongst team members and clientsData collection, creation, conversion, and editingGather and review technical requirements to meet project goals and implement quality assurance proceduresFollow project plans to successfully execute assigned workWork with the AECOM team lead to ensure quality in all work productsMaintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standardsMaintain strong knowledge in existing and emerging GIS related software and technologiesCreate and maintain GIS data in an ArcGIS Enterprise environmentApply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skillsCommunicating and collaborating with the project manager and project team lead to understand and document system/solution requirementsOrganize, document, and communicate status updates to program leads and relevant project teamsHave excellent critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
