Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity This position leads both engagement and portfolio management of our three networks to support the University’s internationalisation, strategic engagement and research objectives through its global partnerships with universities 21 (U21), the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) and the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN).The role may attend key network meetings overseas (Annual Presidential, Senior Leaders and governance meetings) and supports the DVC-SE in representing the University on the Association for Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Board. The role also provides support, where necessary, for the VC, DVC-SE and DVC-R in representing the University in the various networks and other organisations. This is a permanent, full-time (37.5) position.Remuneration - $92000 -$100000For more detailed information, please refer to the Position DescriptionMō tō mātou rōpū | About the teamUnder the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Engagement) the International Office supports the development, maintenance and strengthening of key international relationships that will enhance and enable our ability to perform as a globally competitive University.

Your excellent communication skills will be required to build and establish credibility with a focus on the execution and delivery of international network projects. You will have proven leadership and management experience and a high level of customer service knowledge and expertise.You will also have the following:Demonstrated skills and experience in relationship management and working collaboratively, including with senior staff (VC, C suite) and external partners (MFAT, INZ)Excellent communications skills including the ability to represent the university at network meetingsCommitment to and understanding of Te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi Experience developing and implementing processes, systems, and servicesSound project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.5-7 years’ experience in a university or international education/research environment
