Job Description

The IT Business Solutions Lead is responsible for leading the design of IT solutions for customers. The role leads the process of identifying and delivering end to end customer facing business solutions improvement across the Toll Group, by optimizing business processes and maintaining strong relationships with key individuals inside and outside the organization. The IT Business Solutions Leadassists with the oversight and prioritization of customer opportunities and ensures IT customer delivery projects align with technology that best provides return on investment aligning to both the IT and business strategies. The role leads IT engagement with customers to maximize the prominence and value of Toll’s IT offering.

The positionis a balance between stakeholder management, customer opportunity identification, business strategy and commercial. The role is responsible for driving capability uplift across the organization in a specific business competency, to deliver business and customer benefits. The IT Business Solutions Lead has a detailed understanding of each business divisions’ strategy and portfolio of work and how these will be impacted by customer opportunities. The role also stays abreast of market and competitor trends where possible to ensure Toll’s offering is at or ahead of customer expectation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT leadership experience; among which minimum 5 years’ experience in Customer Solutions architecture or solution design
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with Logistics and Supply Chain industry
  • Familiarity with information systems management practices
  • Strong commitment to risk mitigation, change and opportunity realization
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, business case development capabilities
  • Demonstrated Expertise in:
    • Tier 1/2 Warehouse Management Systems
    • Tier 1/2 Transport Management Systems
    • Tier 1/2 Integration Platforms
    • Tier 1/2 Business Intelligence Applications, Dashboard and Analytics Solutions
    • Freight Forwarding and Customs Management Software
    • eCommerce and digital customer experience trends, opportunities and technology
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, modern infrastructure capabilities and security principles
  • Experience managing 3rd Party Vendors and Service Providers to meet timelines and deliverable quality
  • Must be innovative and strategic in approach, and demonstrated ability to apply application architectural disciplines to solve business problems
  • Strong skills in the system capabilities and how they would be applied and /or configured to solving the business problem.
  • Extensive business and/or systems analysis skills that support applications development
  • Proven track record of delivering within deadlines with the ability to prioritise projects
  • A practical understanding of privacy, security and intellectual property legislation
  • Leading and driving consensus in a constantly changing environment.
