Genuent is hiring a Java Developer for our direct client located in the Manchester, NH area. This is a full-time, direct hire position.   • Writes, tests, and promotes completed code for use by internal business partners
  • Configuration management, Customizing Guidewire Claim Center & Contact Manager
  • Data Model, Business Logic (Rules), PCF Screen (User Interface) Development
  • LOB Mapping, localization for different Locales development using Gosu for Classes and enhancement
  • Lead technical participant in SCRUM based activities working with (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts) and other IT staff
  • Acts as a Programmer and/or Unit Tester, often in a lead technical role, creating design documents for components within area of specialty
  • Interfaces directly with other software developers for, technical designs, Code reviews, and process compliance
  • Delivers quality results, pursues work with energy, drive and need for completion
  • Takes initiative to own problems and follows through with a sense of urgency
Required Skills
  • Object oriented programming Java or Gosu
  • Relational database, SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures
  • Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
  • Source repository management (TFS Required), branching, tagging, merging
  • Design patterns within an OOP language
  • SDLC Principles and practices
  • Must possess strong communication skills as well as exceptional analytical and time management capabilities.
  • Competent problem solving and solutioning.
  • Effective estimation and scoping of project sizes/dates
  • Capable of working individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience
  • 7+ years of development experience
  • Strong Object-oriented programming: Gosu, Java
  • Experience with: Windows, Linux, Apache Tomcat, Node.JS, IIS, TFS
  • Web Service experience such as: REST, WCF, SOAP
  • Strong SQL Server Database Development experience, including proficiency in both T-SQL and SSIS
  • Phases of the SDLC (Plan, Design, Develop, Test, and Support)
  • Data Structures and algorithms C#, Java, Python
  • Insurance Industry experience is a plus
Required EducationFour-year college degree in Computer Science or related field.Additional equivalent years of experience in Information Technology can be substituted for degree
