Kaitiaki - Part-time

As a Kaitiaki at our St Johns village you’ll play an important role in supporting the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle possible for our Care Centre residents. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, focused on person-centred care and enhancing the wellbeing of every resident.This role includes a strong focus on mobility support, recreation, and mealtime care – all guided by structured morning and afternoon shift schedules.Typical duties include:Supporting residents with meals and drinks, including one-on-one help where neededAssisting residents to follow their mobility therapy plans (e.g., walking, gentle exercise)Providing emotional support to residents who may feel anxious, isolated or confusedHelping maintain a safe environment, especially for those at risk of fallingSupporting individual and small group activities alongside Diversional and Recreational TherapistsKeeping accurate progress notes and alerting clinical staff to any concernsWe know that this role makes a difference - our residents love having someone there whose job is to spend time with them and put a smile on their face.This is a permanent part-time role working a roster of: Thursday, Friday and Saturday 1.00pm to 6.30pm.
