Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity In this role you will support the Programme Delivery Manager with strategy and planning and many major operational activities.  You will ensure, thorough professional research and workforce development support provision, the effective operational planning, delivery and implementation of the PMA Knowledge Hub and achievement of all key performance targets for the programme, which include Pacific Research Capacity Building and Training and Social Impact and Outreach initiatives.Deliverables include:Contribute to research planning and strategy in relevant areas.Participate in target setting for Key Performance Indicators for the programme.Maintain key relationships to support maximising opportunities and outputs to ensure client/funder expectations are known and being met.Workforce development support, including project management, support, and other operational specialist deliverables as identified.Assist researchers and students to navigate the various research support services available to enable them to plan, deliver and implement research projects.Maintain appropriate relationships with relevant parties and in some cases, be the first point of contact and support regarding the project/programme of work.Demonstrate excellent customer service through reliable, efficient, and accurate execution of service deliverables.Work collaboratively toward operational and strategic continuous improvement initiatives at a University level.Work with the Reporting Manager, Associate Dean Pacific, and researchers to assess the viability of opportunities presented to the researchers regarding capability and capacity.Assist researchers in the development of funding applications and proposals including the development of budgets (with assistance from the FIRST team, Finance and UniServices as required), obtaining/collating relevant information and ensuring completion as per client/funder guidelines, and obtaining the relevant approvals for funding applications.Scope and develop project plans, including project budget that is in line with the proposal/s.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and finalise subcontracts that enables delivery on the objectives and milestones of research projects.Proactively liaise with the researchers throughout the lifecycle of the project.This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), Fixed term role ending 31 January 2026
