Laboratory Technician - Inorganics

SGS is seeking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team in a casual basis in Alexandria, NSW. As a team member you will assist management in maintaining SGS’s capability to analyse soil, water and air in the Inorganic section.  In particular to conduct routine and non-routine analyses and to deliver quality and timely laboratory results.Other key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:Understand and comply to general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.Ensure you maintain housekeeping to highest standardCarry out scheduled equipment and basic instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with the written procedures.Ensure that PPE and safety equipment is used where necessary, used correctly and used at all times as per the section requirements.Report immediately any unsafe work condition, faulty equipment, hazards and incidents to the supervisor and/or manager.Perform other duties as directed by the section supervisor.
