Machine Operator Needed at Manufacturing Facility

Inspired by a family recipe, Port City Pretzels handcrafts the finest seasoned pretzel in four delicious flavors. Port City Pretzels is a rapidly growing B2B & B2C company, whose pretzels can be found across the country and on our website. Position need not have prior experience but must have the willingness and ability to learn. The equipment operator is also expected to assist the team in daily operations, to ensure every process is conducted smoothly and efficiently. The position requires accountability to work independently ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.  The equipment operator position exists to package finished goods, and to understand and execute the process for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Main Responsibilities:

- Be the main POC who runs and operates our packaging equipment on a daily basis

- Perform weekly/monthly preventative maintenance on equipment as needed

- Dump pretzels in equipment hopper as needed

- Continuously replenish bags so the equipment produces at a consistent and steady flow

- Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

- Ability to clean machines

- Lift/carry up to 40-50 lbs on a consistent basis

- Ability to walk up and down stairs on a consistent basis

- Stand or walk for long periods 

- Detail oriented and organized

- Maintain a positive attitude

- Care about the product and take pride in their work
