Manager of ES Content

The Manager of ES Content is responsible for driving student achievement data across multiple schools in a region for a specific content area. The Manager will utilize their expert content knowledge, exceptional data analysis skills and coaching experience to develop and execute a regional strategy to accelerate student learning and respond to real-time achievement data. The Manager reports to a regional Assistant Superintendent. This role is an annual contract that ends in June 2024.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Curricular ProgramUses expert content knowledge to support schools with the implementation and adaptation of curricula curated by Uncommon Schools.Create resources that easily connect assessment and instruction materials for teachers and leaders to internalize, including but not limited to scripted lesson plans and assessment scripts.  Support individual school campuses with leveraging instructional blocks to best support all students and best leverage all teacher skills.  Assessment and DataWork with ASups to collect and analyze student data across a portfolio of schools to create targeted action plans that accelerate student learningSystematically track progress of key power standard proficiency across portfolio of schools and pivot action plans based on student achievement and analysisPartner with K-8 CAT and ASups to make data-driven programmatic decisions and support additional tasks and projects as neededCoaching and DevelopmentProvide on the ground coaching and support of leaders and teachers to implement data-driven action plans (minimum of 3 days per week)Ability to model exemplary ELA or Math instruction and/or teach key gradespans or content areas in schools of focus when neededLead, model and coach strong preparation and delivery of Power Meetings, especially Planning and Data Meetings Design, internalize, and facilitate training for leaders and teachersTrack progress of teacher proficiency tied to response to data moves
