TITLE: MES/QMS Systems Analyst and Support

LOCATION: This position will be 100% remote to start and then may shift to a hybrid work schedule with some days remote and some days in the office (Tennessee, Thousand Oaks or El Segunda, CA, Billerica, MA or ).

Duration: Fulltime

Education: BA or BS degree in engineering, MIS, or related technical field, plus 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a specialty area.

POSITION SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONSThe MES/QMS Systems Analyst and Support position will provide internal MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and QMS (Quality Management Systems) support for multiple companies. This position will provide IT Project Management skills from upfront analysis, system setup, training, and testing to moving into the production systems. The position will be working with ERP/MRP system resources to integrate the Quality and/or MES systems.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Business and Systems Analysis – resulting in defined business processes to meet multi-disciplined Quality, MES and manufacturing requirements
  • Identify, develop and propagate the use of “best practices” processes throughout the Segment’s business units
  • Coordinate process and system test and validation efforts
  • Provide both one-on-one and classroom/web-based user training – develop training material tailored to the process and user community
  • Coordinate efforts through the General Applications QA/MES Manager and other internal and external consultants to assure consistent, disciplined process development and deployment of best practices throughout installations
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively to assess process/system requirements and to document detailed analysis of the business requirements
  • Work with the company Server Infrastructure and other departments to ensure system servers and databases are setup and maintained for optimal performance
  • Ability to follow instructions and install system software, apply patches and learn how to maintain the vendor software applications
  • Install Applications and patches on Windows Server Platforms (Centos/Linux is a plus)
  • Install database-level scripts for initial installation and patches on SQL Server Databases
  • Analyze with end users to assess both operational and executive reporting requirements. Relay these requirements to Report Developers for implementation and verification of the data

Skills should include:
  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems
    • Experience with Quality Compliance and Supplier Quality Best Practices
  • Familiar with Manufacturing/Shop Floor Execution Systems
    • Experience with Manufacturing Processes and Operations
  • MRP/ERP Experience is required (e.g. INFOR XA/Mapics, Costpoint, Microsoft Dynamics AX, IFS, SAP)
  • Software/Systems Integration which includes working with other system resources and data experts to map data bi-directionally from one system to the other
  • Project Management Experience Implementing Software
    • Requirements Analysis, System Setup to match Requirements, GAP Analysis and Remediation, Vendor Communication (e.g. Support Tickets, demonstrating requirements), Formulating the Project Plan, Formulating Test Case/Use Cases, Production Cutover Plan
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • SQL Scripting for SQL Server and Oracle Databases
    • Triggers, Functions, Procedures, SQL Statements for Reporting
  • Good written and verbal communications skills – teaching experience is preferred
  • Proven analytical/problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to dig into problems at detail level and reconcile system anomalies/problems with supporting data
  • Team player – able to originate and exchange ideas for potential solutions, participate in final approach determination and follow through consistent with team decisions
  • Ability to understand, map and document Business Process Flows
